Andy was born to Charles and Susan Johnson on July 31, 1957, in Dunn, North Carolina. As a child, his family moved to Manassas, Virginia where he graduated from Osbourn Senior High in 1975, and briefly attended Warren Wilson College near Asheville, North Carolina. Andy had a passion for acting, and was able to fulfill his dream for a brief time in New York City, and later at The Hayloft Dinner Theater in Northern Virginia. Andys personality was one that was gregarious and entertaining. With his outgoing nature, he made friends easily, and created friendships that lasted throughout his life. He was a loving and generous soul. Andy passed away on Friday, June 24, 2016. He leaves behind his daughter, Della Johnson, who he held close to his heart, and for whom he tried to be the best father he knew how. Andy also leaves behind Dells step-brother, Conner Haydn Tye, Andys wife Carla Johnson, his three siblings Charles Thomas Johnson, Jr., Gregory Phillip Johnson, and Beverly Susan Beck, and a host of friends and loved ones who will cherish his memory, and the positive times he shared.
