Winsted: Emma M. Stannard, 90, of East Lake Street, died Thursday, May 28, 2009 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in Torrington, following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Irving Stannard who died in 1996. Born in Winsted, June 6, 1918, daughter of the late Luciano and Francesca (Nanni) DiNicola, she had lived in Winsted all of her life. Emma had attended local schools and was a graduate of The Gilbert School, Class of 1937.
