Emma Caroline Dunivan, 83, a longtime Deming resident passed away on Saturday November 7, 2009 at Mimbres Memorial Hospital.

Emma was born November 18, 1925 to Annie Pullen and T.W. Dooley in Scranton, Arkansas. Emma married Jack Dunivan on March 31, 1955 in Clovis, New Mexico. In 1962 they moved to Deming from Amarillo, Texas and raised her family here. She was a homemaker and attended the First United Methodist Church.

She is remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother with an enormous generous heart. We loved her and were truly loved by her. She will be missed by family, friends and neighbors. We can’t be close here on this earth but we long for that home in Heaven He has prepared for us.

She is survived by husband, Jack Dunivan of Deming; daughter, Julie Madden and son-in-law, Dan Madden and granddaughters, Erin and Kelly Madden of Coppell, TX; daughter, Karen Tarver and son-in-law, Mark Tarver of Valley Ranch, TX; 3 sisters-in-law, Billie Ruth Dunivan of Deming; Billie Dolan and husband Bill of Las Cruces and Jimmie Lee Dooley of Lubbock, TX; many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents and 11 siblings.
