Emilio “ Milo” Albanese, age 88, longtime resident of Milford and beloved husband to the late Mary Antoinette Sciole Albanese, passed away at home on Monday, January 23, 2012. Born on November 12, 1923 in Tuckahoe, NY, he was the son of the late Gabriel and Gemma Capetto Albanese. Prior to his retirement, he was the supervisor of the Mobil Plastics Plant in Stratford. Milo was an avid golfer and was a dedicated baseball coach from Little League to Pony League to Bunnell High School. He enjoyed Frank Sinatra and was a devoted and die-hard NY Yankee and NY Jets fan. Milo was a loving and caring father, grandfather and brother and he will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his children, Vincent Albanese of Hilton Head, SC, Deborah Reif of Westport and Michael Albanese of Milford; six grandchildren, Joe, Erica and Michelle Albanese, Gina Reif Ilardi, Holley Reif and Tracey Reif Park; great grandchildren, Samantha Reif, Joseph Albanese, Francesca Ilardi and George and Julia Park; and one brother Paul Albanese.
