Emerson Ricks Hunter, 72, of Idaho Falls, passed away on February 10, 2016, at Teton Acute Care and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born December 9, 1943, in Rigby, Idaho to William Wallace Hunter and Bertha O’Donnell Hunter. During World War II the family moved to Seattle, Washington. After the war they moved to Idaho Falls where he grew up and graduated from Idaho Falls High School.
He attended Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho and later Cal State Long Beach where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. He also lived in Utah, Montana, and Blackfoot before moving back to Idaho Falls 20 years ago.
Emerson married Ruth Diniz Pereira on January 22, 1966, where their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. He worked as a Certified Public Accountant.
