Emerson Everett Bennett, 82, of Langsville, OH passed away, Friday, July 13, 2018 in his home with his family by his side.
He was born April 11, 1936 in a log cabin in a coal camp in Newburgh, WV to the late James and Ethel F. (Ship) Bennett and graduated from Arthurdale High School in Reedsville, WV having also attended Newburg High School and Tunnelton High School. Emerson served in the U.S. Air Force from 1955 – 1959 having been stationed in Altus OK where he was a crash rescue fireman. He married the former Loretta M. Barger who preceded him in death on July 27, 2007 and was a Union Iron Worker with Local #17 in Cleveland having retired after 36 years of service. He was a member of the Al Sirat Grotto and was a 32 degree Freemason.
