     Elwood H. “Skip” Farr, 93, of Williamsport, passed away Wednesday, Jan.

     Born March 11, 1926, in Williamsport, he was a son of the late Verus L. Farr Sr. and Mildred (Sholder) Farr.

     Skip served during World War II in the United States Naval Construction Battalion, better known as the Navy Seabees, where he served in the 143 Battalion and was a second-class machinist.

     Skip was a member of Oak Grove Alliance Church. He enjoyed junk collecting, tinkering around his house and garage, gardening, and most of all loved spending time with his family.

     Surviving are his sons, William L. Farr (Pam), of Jersey Shore, Gary W. Farr (Sue), of Williamsport, Todd L. Farr (Vicky), of Williamsport, Clifton E. Farr (Cindy), of Shinglehouse, and Scott A. Farr (Sue), of Linden; 29 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, and 15 great-great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Kathleen V. Farr, of Jersey Shore, and his companion of 20 years, Lloyd Ann Fluman.

     In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Thomas L. Farr Sr. and Donald R. Farr (Mel), a brother, Verus L. “Tommy” “Shorty” Farr Jr.,  and a sister, Helen Farr.
