Wes was a Mason under the Grand Lodge Hastings, NE, #50. Brother Wescoat was a Master Mason for over 60 years. His favorite hobby was bowling. For 57 years and to the end, he dedicated himself to a bowling league every winter. Later in life his favorite past time became talking to family and friends. He knew no stranger and would strike up a conversation with anyone whether they were 5 or 110. Many of us will remember him sitting in a chair in his driveway waiving to the passerby’s and so enjoying the many honks from caring people who took the time to acknowledge him.
The highlight of his life was hit two grandchildren Cally and Cody. He never missed an opportunity to share with people just how proud he was of both of them and what they have become.
While Wes’ life had its ups and downs through 89 years, he selflessly cared for Clara for the better part of 10 years, through her many debilitating health issues before her passing in 2006.
He will be missed by all who knew him, but especially his family and his beloved English Bulldog of 10 years, Rocky.
