Elvira Kush, age 93, of DeMotte passed away April 1, 2021 at Oak Grove Christian Retirement Village.
Elvira was born March 15, 1928 in Gary, Indiana, the daughter of Santos and Amada (Hazas) Gutierrez. She graduated from Emerson High School, Class of 1947. She retired from DeMotte Elementary School where she was a bilingual aide. Elvira was a member of Grace Fellowship Church, an Eastern Star member, a Girl Scout & Brownie leader in Gary, and voted in High School as best seamstress out of 5 high schools.
Elvira is survived by her loving children: Richard (Annette) Kush of Dyer, IN, Yvonne (Mike) Bretzinger of DeMotte, IN, and David Kush of DeMotte, IN; and beloved 4-legged friend, Precious.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
