Elva Diaz Davila, 76, was called home to the Lord’s Kingdom on Sunday August 20, 2017 at her residence. She was born Sept. 26, 1940 in Jayton, TX.
Elva was a loving and caring woman of faith. She raised her family with unparalleled kindness and humility. She was always generous and considerate, caring for everyone who made her acquaintance.
Elva was a devout Catholic; she attended St. Anthony’s Catholic Church.
Elva took great pride in her home.
Elva will always be remembered for the joy she brought to everyone she encountered and as a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister-in-law, aunt, and friend.
She leaves behind, to cherish her memory, her adoring husband of 59 years, Abel Davila, their three daughters and son-in-laws, Betty Montez (Daniel), Viola Lucio (Roberto), Velia Angell (Robert H.), her grandchildren Itzel Montez, Daniel A. Montez, Kristin Montez Garza, Monet Angell, Luke Lucio, and Leah Lucio, and her great-grandchildren Ian Gonzales and Aidan Gonzales. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.She is preceded in death by her daughter, Viviana Davila, her parents, Filiberto and Paula Diaz Ortega, and her sisters Eva Mendes and Gloria Montemayor.
