Elta Louise Shoemaker age 99, of Ashland, died Monday January 2, 2012 at Brethren Care Village. She was born May 19, 1912 in Wayne County, the daughter of Charles C. and Ollie May (Hall) Lentz. Mrs. Shoemaker lived most all of her life in Ashland. She had been a Department Store Clerk for several year.
On October 8, 1932 Elta married Robert B. Shoemaker who preceded her in death in 1987. Survivors include her three nephews, Charlie, Billy and James Lentz; several grandchildren; great grandchildren; and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband of 53 years.
