Elsie Marie (Lewis) Bohon
Elsie Marie (Lewis) Bohon, of Bunker Hill, WV, formerly of Albright, WV, passed away Thursday, September 29, 2016 in the comfort of her home with family at her side.
Born in Freeport, West Virginia on November 1, 1927 and raised in Oakland, MD. She was the daughter of the late Martin Ray and Olive Vernie (Friend) Lewis. She was a kind and loving sister, wife, mother and grandmother. “Marie” had a quiet sense of humor, a gentle spirit and a loving heart.
She leaves behind a sister, Hazel Virginia (Lewis) Gregory, of Deer Park, MD; two brothers, Willard Junior Lewis of Oakland, MD, and Teddy Ray Lewis of Friendsville, MD; Seven children, James A. Bohon, Jr. of Phoenix, AZ; Betty June Uphold of Lancaster, CA; Carolyn Sue Bohon and Barbara Ann Cale of Albright, WV; Peggy Eloise Leggett of Morgantown, WV; Janice Marie Fabiano and spouse Steven Thomas Fabiano; and Douglas William Bohon all of Bunker Hill, WV; also left behind are 16 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death in September 1995 by her husband James Alfred Bohon, whom she married August 7, 1947; a son, George Martin Bohon in May 2016; and two brothers, Lester Martin Lewis (1979) and Warren Carl Lewis (1981); a grandson, James Martin Bohon (2011); a great grandson, Tyler James Leggett (2000) and two Son-in-laws, Clifford C. Uphold (2015) and James Arthur Cale (2011).
