Eloise F. Powell, 89, of Vandalia, died Wednesday, September 26, 2012 in Cass County Medical Care Facility, Cassopolis. She was born February 28, 1923 in Chicago, Illinois to Stuart and Annie (Morrell) Fowler.
She married Monnie Powell on August 8, 1969 in Henderson, Kentucky. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded by her parents; one daughter, Vivian Lofton; and four sisters, Babe Fowler, Vivian Ford, Leila Henderson; and one brother Arthur Fowler.Eloise enjoyed shopping, playing bingo and going to the casino. She enjoyed her family being around her as much as possible.Family and friends will greatly miss Eloise.
She is survived by two granddaughters, Michelle Lofton and Lisa Lofton, both of Vandalia; one great granddaughter, Taletha Andrews of Grand Rapids; and a host of great nieces and nephews, including Dolores Yancey of Austin, Texas.
