Elmer E. Stout, 90, of Hamilton Communities, formerly of Berry Avenue, South Bend, IN, passed at 10:40 a.m., Sunday, January 15, 2006, in the Hamilton Communities. Elmer was born on July 28, 1915, in Kokomo, IN, to Elmer W. and Edna Marie (Harris) Stout. He retired after thirty-seven years with the Bendix Corporation, where he was employed as a Senior Chief Tool Engineer. On June 11, 1934, he married, Mary Loma Hannah, who preceded him in death on January 9, 1954. On February 19, 1956, he married Nina M. Engel, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Barbara (Marcel) Landuit of Granger, IN, and Christine (Kenneth) Cole of South Bend, IN; two sons, Ronald (Floretta) Stout of South Bend, IN and Michael (Cathy) Stout of Arden, NC; eleven grandchildren, Mark Landuit, Michelle Pitt, Marsca Cochran, Mary Swanson D.V.M., Darren Stout, Carl Cole, Jeffery Cole, Ronald Stout, Jr., Julie Geselle, Tim Stout, and Eric Stout; seven great-grandchildren, Travis Landuit, Lauren Landuit, Brad Snyder, Brooke Pitt, Taylor Pitt, Cameron Pitt, and Dakota Gubi; two sisters, Jane Bowley of Leesburg, FL and Betty Rudolph of West Palm Beach, FL; and two brothers, James Robert (Peggy) Stout of Kokomo, IN and George Stout of Burlington, IN. He was preceded in death by one sister, Ann Tackett; two brothers, Richard and William Stout; one sister-in-law, Sherry Stout; and by one brother-in-law, Joseph Rudolph.
