Mr. Ellis F. Burns, age 74, beloved husband of the late Marie Gallup Burns, of Milford passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2006 at his home with his family by his side. Son of the late Homer and Minnie Sartwell Burns, he was born on April 12, 1932 in Swanton, VT. Mr. Burns was a ballistic engineer for Remington Arms, Bridgeport before his retirement. He served in the Korean War with the U.S. Army. Mr. Ellis is survived by a son, Randy E. Burns, two daughters, Linda DelPrete and Tammy Burns and four grandchildren, Sherri, Michael, and Christina DelPrete and Breanna Burns all of Milford. He is also survived by a sister, Hortence Wheeler of Swanton, VT and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Burns was predeceased by six brothers and sisters, Robert Burns, Florence Ouimette, Beatrice Burns, Mildred Griswold, Douglas Burns and Corinne Fadden all of VT.
