Ellen L. (Helsley) Tootie Illman, 74, of Peru, passed away June 22, 2016 at the LaSalle County Nursing Home in Ottawa.
Tootie was born November 25, 1941 in Spring Valley to Paul and Dora (Brittingham) Helsley. She married Marion Ignatius Illman on November 28, 1959 at St. Hyacinths Church in LaSalle.
Tootie enjoyed socializing with friends and family. She worked at Electric Utilities and retired from Ronkens.
Survivors include her children, Edward (Cheryl) Illman and Mary Ellen Grabowski, both of Utica; three grandchildren, Michael (Katie) Fleming, Steven Grabowski and Chrystal Smith; three great-grandchildren, Andrew Schweickert, Kalvyn Smith and Aliyah Smith; six sisters, Donna Helsley and Judith Rohde both of California, Paulette Schauer of Spring Valley, Jacqueline Sawicki of Ohio and Wilma Bradley and Linda Tinsley both of Tennessee; three brothers, John Helsley of Florida, Russell Helsley of Pennsylvania and Donald Helsley of Tennessee and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Marion Mort Illman; three sisters, Dee Ascher, Lucetta Anderson and Constance Strait and two brothers, Walter Helsley and Charles Helsley.
