Ellen died peacefully overnight Thursday, November 1st. Despite illness she was alert, good humored, and strong-willed throughout. Her husband was by her side and cared for her every step of the way.
Ellen was born in Mineola NY on August 21, 1931 to German immigrant parents. She graduated from Freeport High School, and often swam at the famous Jones Beach. She graduated from Katherine Gibbs Secretarial College and worked in New York City for a few years before meeting USAF Lt.
