Ellen Petrocelli (nee Liebau), age 73, of New Milford, NJ passed away surrounded by her loving family and friends on Tuesday, May 19th. Beloved wife of Frank Petrocelli, Ellen was born in Dumont, NJ she was the youngest of four children of Walter Liebau and Monica Morrison. Ellen was the mother of five children; Desiree Grunewald and her husband Charles, Cheryl Mitchell and her husband Robert, Patrick Hoban, Dorothy Thorpe and her husband Dave, and Jack Hoban and his wife Nina. In addition, Ellen was the grandmother of 8 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. She was predeceased by her brother Robert Liebau and his wife Agnes, sister-in-law Josephine and her husband Paul del Fino. She leaves her sister Norma Rudback, brother David Liebau, special sister-in-law Eileen, sister-in-law Florence Petrocelli and her husband Kelly, in addition to many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Ellen worked many years in the hospitality industry as well as the wine industry. A creative person, Ellen enjoyed doing window displays, weddings, and had a special interest in horticulture. Belonging to the Master Gardeners was a source of many good memories and brought her life many friends and enjoyment. She thanks her many neighbors and friends for their loving care and support.
