Ellen “Lorene” Graham, 82, of St. Joseph, Michigan died Sunday evening, January 16, 2005, at Lakeland Continuing Care Center, St. Joseph, Michigan. Ellen was born December 23, 1922, in Marion, Illinois to William and Anna (Rutledge) Hannah. She graduated from Belknap High School in 1938. Ellen was employed as an accountant in Illinois, and at the Berrien Teachers Credit Union in the 1960s before returning to southern Illinois to care for her parents. Ellen was an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Salem, Illinois, serving in many capacities. She loved her pets and was an avid reader.
She is survived by her brother William (Linda) Hannah of Sawyer, Michigan; sisters, Nina (Cletus) Oliver of Anna, Illinois; Belle Adams of Joshua, Texas, and Edith (Ernie) Lambert of Bloomington, Illinois, and several nieces and nephews. Ellen was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Glenda June Collins.
