Mrs. Ella Woodard Hunter, 79, a resident of 826 Bowerwood Dr., died Sunday, April 17, 2005, at SunBridge of Lexington Nursing Center following an extended illness.
Mrs. Hunter was born July 27, 1925 in pittsboro, a daughter of Bobby Lee and Nancy Jackson Woodard. A resident of Thomasville most of her adult life, she was a retired employee of Thomasville Furniture Industries and a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. Her husband, Buck Hunter, parents, two sisters and two brothers, all preceded her in death.
Surviving relatives include devoted nieces, Shirley Dula of Thomasville, and Illa Leslie & husband, Agustus, of Fairfax, Va.; nephews, James Woodard of Thomasville, Wade Brown & wife , Martha, of Lexington, and Douglas Glenn; foster brother, Jimmy Jones, Cecil Jones, Aaronn Jones, Hubert Ray Jones, all of Thomasville, and Lamond Jones & wife, Margaret of Arlington, Va.; great-nieces, great-nephews, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, a host of other relatives and friends.
