Elizabeth Sara Zito passed away peacefully last evening, September 2nd with her loving family gathered around her. She was the daughter of the late Anthony and Giovina (Ruggiero) Tarole. Bette, as she was known, was an accomplished seamstress, having worked in local clothing shops. For many years she conducted a small business designing and making gowns, wedding decorations and table favors for bridal and birthday parties. She also worked in the alterations department for local bridal shops. She was an active member of the Mother of Sorrows Sodality at the former Our Lady of Pompeii Catholic Church, in Bethlehem. Survivors include her daughters and son-in-law Deanna and George Sobetsky with whom she resided, a son, Entertainer Tommy Zito, wife Jan; grandsons, George and Thomas Sobetsky; sisters Philomena Abd-el-bary of Bethlehem and Carmela Tarole of Plano, TX; many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. She was predeceased by her husband, Domenick, a sister Dolores Malpedo and a brother Anthony Tarole. Her greatest happiness was spending time with her grandsons, going to the casino, watching the Phillies and watching her son Tommy perform.
