ELIZABETH RENNOLDS CATRON (Age 78) Of Manassas passed away peacefully at Prince William Hospital on January 13, 2016. She was born March 11, 1937 in Richmond to the late John Sthreshley and Elizabeth Jones Rennolds. She was preceded in death by her brother John Christian Rennolds. Mrs. Catron graduated from John Marshall High School in Richmond, and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Bryn Mawr College in 1959. She then taught English at Collegiate High School in Richmond before doing graduate studies at Exeter College in England. She received her Masters degree from George Mason University, and taught at Saint Agnes in Alexandria. In 1980, she began teaching in the Prince William County school system. She taught English, French, and the Gifted Program at Parkside Middle School, Brentsville High School, and Woodbridge High School. After retiring from teaching, she volunteered at the National Gallery of Art, and the Manassas Museum. She was a devout Episcopalian and was a 41-year member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Manassas. Mrs. Catron is survived by her husband of 52 years Jerry Michael Catron; sons Jerry Michael Catron, Jr. (Grasonville, MD), John Christian Rennolds Catron (Vancouver, BC), and Robert Louis Catron (Broadlands, VA); daughters-in-law Karen, Kelly, and Sheila; and grandchildren Judy, Jake, Ben, Jack, Collette, and Carissa.
