DURHAM- Mrs. Elizabeth “Lib” Weaver, 87, of Durham, died on Monday, August 24th, 2020.
Lib was born in Johnston County, the Town of Four Oaks, NC. She was the daughter of the late Samuel Tilden Price and Johnnie Allen Price. She was a homemaker and child care provider, and two-time winner of Yard of the Month by Triangle Garden Club.
Mrs. Weaver was an active member of Lowe’s Grove Baptist Church and Ruth Bible Class. One of her greatest pleasures was participating in activities with her Lowe’s Grove friends, such as having monthly visits to the Murdoch Center Cottages in Butner, NC.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James (J.L.) Weaver; two brothers, Samuel Price and Buddy Stewart; and two sisters, Eloise Stewart Thomas and Mary Stewart Moore. Survivors include her two sons, James “Larry” Weaver and his wife Judy of Morrisville, NC, and David Timothy Weaver of Durham, NC; two brothers, Thomas Price and wife Janice of Four Oaks, NC, and Gilbert Price and wife Beth of Four Oaks, NC; two grandchildren, James Linwood Weaver and wife Heather, Allison Weaver Wiggins and husband Phillip; also several nieces and nephews.
