Elizabeth O. Wilson, age 96, of Batavia, former long time resident of Geneva, passed away June 15 at Piedmont Healthcare in Piedmont, Alabama.
She was born June 2, 1916 in Grove Oak, Alabama, the daughter of Samuel and Louetta (Chandler) O’Neal.
Elizabeth was a wonderful loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed cooking and gardening and loved to entertain.
She is survived by her daughter Eloise Cothran of Piedmont, Alabama; son John Wilson of Taos, New Mexico; son Brett Wilson of Birmingham, Alabama; daughter Paula Issel of Batavia; grandchildren Greg (Kathy) Cothran, Janine Crabb, Evelyn Cothran, Jack and Paula Wilson, Kate and Rob Issel ; great grandchildren Allan Cothran, Lindsey Crabb, and Quinn, Oliver and Simmy Wilson.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband of almost 65 years, John; her parents; siblings Thelma Bradley, Ruby Payne, Ruth Straughn, Joseph O’Neal and Evelyn Stallings; and sons-in-law George Cothran and Greg Issel.
