Elizabeth M. Cukrowicz, 84, of South Bend, IN, passed away at 8:00 p.m., Friday, March 9, 2007 in her home. Elizabeth was born on January 20, 1923 to Benjamin and Maude (Zoss) Turner, and was a lifelong resident. On August 5, 1943, in Tacoma, WA, she married Benedict F. Cukrowicz, who preceded her in death on January 4, 2003. Also preceding her in death were two sisters, Joan Ladewski and Marigrace Klemm; and five brothers, Jay, Ben, Robert, Gene, and Richard Turner. Survivors include three sons, Brian (Marcia) Cukrowicz of South Bend, IN, Noel (Kathy) Cukrowicz of Granger, IN, and Paul Crow of South Bend, IN; seven grandchildren, Kevin Cukrowicz, Julie Guin, Amy Frazier, Sarah Cukrowicz, Stephen Cukrowicz, Paula Crow, and Cynthia Cukrowicz; six great-grandchildren, Syd Guin, Crystal Guin, Blake Guin, Katie Cukrowicz, Andrew Frazier, and Emily Cukrowicz; one great-great-grandchild, Adian Guin; one cousin, Mary Jo Cavanaugh of New York, NY; and by extended family members, Pat Turner of Elkhart, IN, Sharon Cooyenga of LaPorte, IN and Judy Deardorff of South Bend, IN.
