Elizabeth M. (Burns) Cirigliano, passed away at Southwood at Norwell Nursing on March 25, 2021 at the age of ninety-three. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Cirigliano, Sr.; loving mother of Debra Cirigliano of East Weymouth, Frankie Cirigliano and his partner Thomas Ingemanson of Boston and the late Joseph, Jr. and Dr. Daniel Cirigliano. She leaves behind her daughter-in-law, Eleanore Cirigliano. She was the cherished grandmother of Eric Cirigliano and his wife Faith of Rochester, Mark Cirigliano and his wife Dana of Hingham and Tracy Cirigliano of Boston; great grandmother to Isaac, Kara and Rocco. Elizabeth was predeceased by her ten siblings, whom she was the youngest of. She is survived by her nephew, George Clark, Jr. who was like a son to her, as well as many other nieces and nephews. Elizabeth was born on March 28, 1927 in Weymouth to the late Samuel and Margaret (Delorey) Burns. She worked for the Weymouth Public Schools for many years and held various positions but her favorite was cooking and baking. Her rum cake became a favorite among the teachers and staff alike and she was always more than happy to bake for anyone who put in a request. Elizabeth devoted her life to her husband and children. When her husband became a resident of Cohasset Knoll Nursing Home, she spent her days there caring for him as well as other patients, which eventually landed her a position at the nursing home as Activities Director. Aside from Elizabeth’s love for cooking and baking, she also enjoyed her time gambling and traveling. She and her son, Daniel spent some wonderful quality time traveling all over, from Hawaii to Las Vegas, Atlantic City, and beyond. She cherished this time she had with him. Elizabeth was the kindest, caring and best Mom anyone could ask for. She loved whole heartedly and treated everyone she cared for like her own. She will be dearly missed by all the lives she touched. The family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to the nurses and staff at Southwood at Norwell Nursing for the wonderful care they took of Elizabeth.
