Elizabeth “Libby” Marie Allen, 34, formerly of Simpsonville, died unexpectedly Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at her home in Louisville. A native of Saratoga Springs, NY, she was the daughter of Cary and Dawn MacGillis Vowels. She obtained an associate’s degree in paralegal studies. She had worked as a server in numerous restaurants. She also had a cleaning service, and she serviced businesses and residential homes. In her leisure time, she enjoyed painting, drawing, watching television and Netflix series and spending time with her daughter. She was Catholic by faith.
Her grandfathers, Robert MacGillis and Eugene Vowels, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her daughter, Emilia Trover of Simpsonville; her parents, Cary and Dawn Vowels of Simpsonville; her brother, Eugene Robert Vowels II of Simpsonville; her maternal grandmother, Marie MacGillis of Groton, CT; her paternal grandmother, Janet K. Vowels of Jeffersontown; four aunts, Lori Vowels, Doreen MacGillis (David Cohen), Linda Rubin (Jeff) and Mary MacGillis; two uncles, Eugene MacGillis (Christina) and Robert MacGillis (Sophia) and her cousins, Zach Rubin (Michelle and their son, River), Elija Rubin, Kyle MacGillis, Jack MacGillis and Daniel Cohen.
