Elizabeth K. Humetewa, 101 years old, long-time resident of Flagstaff, Arizona passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2013 in Phoenix, Arizona.
She is preceded in death by her husband Eric Humetewa, her son Delbert Williams , granddaughters Terri Tewahongyoma and Robyn Nicks, and five siblings. She is survived by two daughters, Vera Noble (Phoenix, AZ) & Eunice Nicks (Flagstaff, AZ), eight grandchildren: Tanya (Clifford) Monroe, JoEllen Noble, Erin (Travis) Pearson, Paula Carol Aragon, Patti Mahkee, and Deanna Nicks; fourteen great-grandchildren, and nineteen great-great grandchildren.
She was born January 11, 1912 in the Hopi Village of Moencopi. She attended grade school at Moencopi Day School and later attended the Phoenix Indian School. She lived in Flagstaff for approximately 70 years and became a member of the LDS Church in the early 1960s, attending the Lamanite branch then later the Cedar Hill 2nd Ward in East Flagstaff.
