Elizabeth (Kilpatrick) Barrett, 82, longtime resident of Lebanon, widow of the late Dwight W. Barrett, passed away Thursday, November 16, 2017.
Born June 16, 1935 in Newburgh, NY, she was the daughter of the late William Henry Kilpatrick and Alice Louise (Taylor) Kilpatrick.
A graduate of the former Ona Wilcox School of Nursing in Middletown, Elizabeth went on to work as a registered nurse at local convalescent homes as well as for the Lebanon Elementary School before her retirement. She was very musically inclined, playing a number of instruments including the fife, as an active member of the Moodus Fife & Drum Corps attending countless musters over the years.
With her bright spirit and giving nature, she truly devoted her life to caring for others, family and friends alike.
She leaves four children, James of Lebanon, Carol of Middletown, Webster (and wife, Tammy) of Quinebaug and Jeffrey of Marlborough; 12 grandchildren, Amy, Sam, Kim, Chris, Scott, Danielle, Joshua, Daniel, Jason, Hayley, Kyle and Jenna; several great grandchildren; four sisters, Margie, Pat, Wink and Shirley; and numerous extended family and friends.
