Elizabeth J. “Betty” Moninghoff, 81, of Bethlehem, died Thursday, August 8, 2013, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Fountain Hill. She was the wife of Edward Moninghoff, Sr. They celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary this past June 19th. Born in Fountain Hill, she was the daughter of the late John and Dorothy (Beier) Redding. Betty worked as a school bus driver for the Saucon Valley School District for 20 years, until retiring. She was a parishioner of St. Ursula Catholic Church, Fountain Hill, and was a member of the Winnebago Itaska Travelers (WIT). She enjoyed crocheting and quilting, and spending time with her husband traveling around the United States in their RV. Survivors: In addition to her loving husband Edward at home, are sons, Edward, Jr., and wife Deborah of Texas City, TX, Bruce and wife Kay of Blythewood, SC., Francis and his wife Mary of Bethlehem; daughters Cynthia of Lancaster, Denise Schantz and husband Peter of Bethlehem Twp.; 11 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren; sister Kathleen Best and husband Robert of Bethlehem; brothers Ed Redding of Fountain Hill, Jack Redding and wife Dorothy of Hellertown; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Dolores Smith.
