     Elizabeth Irene Coley, age 91, of McCrory, Arkansas passed away at her home surrounded by her family and special caregiver Gertie Curbo on Saturday, December 5, 2015. She was born in the Ancel Family home, Morton, Arkansas, August 17th , 1924 to John and Agnes Krosonec Ancel. Elizabeth attended Pumpkin Bend and Morton schools.

     She was preceded in death by her husband Arland Coley, her parents and eight brothers and sisters.

     Survivors include her son, Charles Wayne Coley and wife, Brenda; her daughter, Donna Sue Moore and husband, Jackie; grandchildren: Michael Wayne Coley and wife, Christy, Kristie Alumbaugh Coley, Kimberly Michelle Underwood and husband, Eric, and Chad Delayne Moore and wife, Samantha; great-grandchildren: Mallory Brooke Coley, Garrett Michael Coley, Tyler Holman, Audrey Lauren Underwood and Sloan Alexis Moore; several nieces and nephews and many friends.

     Elizabeth was a retired farmer’s wife and remained a big part of the farming operation until her health declined. Her family farm was recently honored by Governor Hutchinson for being established in 1915 as a Woodruff County century farm. Elizabeth was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother to all of her family.

     She loved to crochet, play cards with friends and family, go to the casinos, go fishing, deer hunting and camping with friends and family. She loved entertaining and cooking for her family and friends and made everyone feel welcome in her home. She cooked many meals for farm hands and workers.

     Elizabeth was a devout Catholic and a member of St . Mary’s Catholic Church.

     She was married March 6, 1944 in St. Louis, Missouri to Arland Coley and they celebrated 70 wonderful years of marriage. An active member of the community she served on the Church Altar Society and was a Farm Bureau member. She will certainly be missed by all.
