Elizabeth Eleanor Trueblood, 85, of Bloomington, passed away Tuesday June 5, 2012 at the IU Health Bloomington Hospice House surrounded by her loving family. Elizabeth was born May 18, 1927 in Bedford, Indiana and was the daughter of Claude and Lottie (Reuter) Watson.
She worked for 25 years as a clerk for Hook’s Pharmacy, and she was a member of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her son, Doug Trueblood (Alison) and daughter, Mary Beth Deckard (Tim) all of Bloomington; five grandchildren, Wesley Trueblood, Wendy Miller (Tim), Sara Deckard, Michael Trueblood, Mia Trueblood; and five great-grandchildren, Amelia Unger, Rowan Miller, Tanner Trueblood, Briana Miller, and Max Miller; along with several nieces and nephews; as well as great-nieces and great-nephews. Preceding Elizabeth in death were her parents, four sisters, Chloe Goen, Gale Manzenberger, Gertrude Swango, and Mary Wilson, and her longtime companion Bill Neal. Elizabeth deeply loved spending time with family. She enjoyed talking about her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
