Elizabeth “Liz” (Quinn) Craffey of Plymouth, died peacefully on May 14th. Beloved wife of 58 years to Robert J. Craffey, loving mother of Elizabeth O’Doherty and her husband Edward, Robert J. Craffey Jr. and his wife Lori, Kevin Craffey and his wife Joanne, Keith Craffey and his wife Lori, and Kathleen Slack and her husband Brad. Cherished grandmother of 15 adoring grandchildren. Dear sister to the late Arthur, Patrick, and Peter Quinn. Treasured sister-in-law, aunt, and friend to many here and abroad. Originally from Ireland. Liz was born in Lenankeel, Donegal. Daughter of the late Arthur and Anne (Kearney) Quinn. She immigrated to America in her early 20’s with only a promise of a job and place to stay. She chose to further her education once her children were grown and received her degree in nursing. She worked as an R.N. for many years and most recently for Bay Path Nursing home in Duxbury before retirement. Liz possessed a strong faith in God and has been a long-time member of St. Peter’s Church in Plymouth. Liz loved life, her light shone for all to see and she was a joy to spend time with. Her and her husband have traveled to Ireland annually and spent summers in their home there enjoying the time and making wonderful memories with family and friends. Other favorite destinations included Florida, Aruba, Cape Cod, and the mountains of New Hampshire. The activities Liz enjoyed were walking along the beach, traveling, dancing, movies, the outdoors, and listening to music and singing. Most of all Liz enjoyed spending time with those she loved. Her love, character, strength, wit, honesty, loving and caring ways will always be remembered.
