Elizabeth C. “Bette” Liszkiewicz, age 66 of Brookhaven, passed away peacefully at her home on April 10, 2021 after a courageous battle with Ocular Melanoma. Born in Darby, PA, Bette was raised in Southwest Philadelphia. She eventually settled in Brookhaven, PA where she started her family and was a resident for over 30 years.Bette graduated from Holy Child Academy in Sharon Hill, PA in 1972. She went on to receive her B.S. in Elementary Education from West Chester University in 1976. She continued her education and received her M.A. in Special Education from Penn State University and her MBA from Temple University. She spent many years teaching and several years as an accountant. She retired as an accountant in enjoyed working out at Kirkwood Fitness and Racquetball Club and taking long walks at Ridley Creek State Park. Her favorite place was the beach and she enjoyed taking trips with her family, especially to the Caribbean. She enjoyed cooking for her family and hosting Sunday dinners every week to bring together family and friends. Bette was a devoted and faithful Catholic throughout her entire life, living and instilling values of generosity and kindness into family and lifelong friends she kept in contact with. Most of all, she loved her children and her life became complete once her grandson was born. Loving mother of Laura Liszkiewicz, Michael Liszkiewicz. Also survived by her grandson Edward William McDonald IV, her partner John Kaufman, niece Linda Youst (nee Lamb) (Matthew), nephew David (Mariana) Lamb, sister-in-law Deborah Wise, goddaughter Mercedes Bellam. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, grandnephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents Francis and Elizabeth Lamb, her husband Stanley Liszkiewicz and brother Francis Lamb.
