Beth was born in St. Paul, Minnesota on May 15, 1928 and graduated from Macalester College in St. Paul in 1950.  She taught school in Jackson, MN, was Field Director for the Cincinnati Council of Camp Fire Girls, Y-Teen Program Director for the Norwood, OH Y.W.C.A., and Secretary to the Registrar at the College of Wooster.  Before retiring in 1995, she was a Library Technician for 22 years at the Wooster High School Library.

She was a member of the Wooster United Methodist Church for 63 years where she taught Sunday School, was active in The English Club, and Happy Girls Bridge group. Volunteer activities included the Girls Scouts where she was a leader and trainer, People to People, the Ohio Reads Program, the United Methodist Women’s group, and the Esther Circle.

She enjoyed reading, knitting, camping, traveling, bird watching, gardening, and exercising.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard “Dick” Miller of 55 years, her parents, Wilhelmine and William Hooper, brothers Charles Hooper and Frederick Hooper.
