Elizabeth “Bee” (Hurrle) Stumpf, 93, of Indianapolis, passed away on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 20, 1928 in Indianapolis to the late Casimir Joseph and Elizabeth (Schmitt) Hurrle. She married the love of her life, Walter “Edward” Stumpf, on November 25, 1948; he preceded her in death in 1999.
Survivors include her daughters, Mary (Fred) Fields, Ann Jansen and Betty Stumpf; sons, Ed (Diana), Bob (Mary), Bill (Barbie), John (Lori), Rick (Terri), Joe (Willia) and Tom (Debbie); daughter-in-law, Sherri Stumpf; sister and friend, Marge Dicks; 50 grandchildren, 52 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Bee was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ed; sons, Fred Stumpf and David Jansen; brothers, William and Casimir Hurrle; and sister, Sr. Casimir Joseph, SSJ.
After raising her children, Bee was employed by LAZARUS for 10 years, receiving the “Associate of the Year” award. She enjoyed being part of the MUSIC GALS for many years at the Knights of Columbus Council #3660. Her other interests, besides her family time, included Quilting, sewing, baking, travelling, and being a life-long member of St.
