Eliza Jane Schwer, 77, of Parker City passed away at her home on the afternoon of July 2 surrounded by her family.
Eliza was born in Parker City on February 23, 1940 to Virginia Francis (Taylor) and Ubert (Slim) Gibson. She married her beloved husband Robert (Bob) A. Schwer on December 1, 1961. They shared a unique and blessed marriage of over 56 years and have two children (Greg and Jennifer). They also shared a special fur family member, Vernon P. Schwer. Their life together is a reflection of their admiration, love, devotion, and dedication to one another.
Eliza attended and graduated from Parker City Schools in 1957. She worked for the Mid-West Metal Company her entire life and retired from there after 50 years.
Surviving Eliza include her husband of 56 years Robert (Bob) Schwer, her son Greg (Rita), and daughter Jennifer (Greg). Eliza’s granddaughters include Alexandra (Chad) Collier, Cheryl (Carl) Schwer, and Sarah (Craig) Schwer. Grandsons include Clayton, Christian, and Cameron Tackett and great-grandsons—Riley and Carson Barrett. Also surviving are her brother Ray (Bonnie) Gibson, as well as several sister and brothers-in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Preceding her in death were both parents. Eliza lost both of her beloved eldest grandsons tragically. Eliza loved those boys more than life itself.

Eliza’s life certainly cannot be summed up in just a few words. Eliza will forever be remembered for her love, quick wit, uniqueness, dedication, and independent nature.
