Elise M. “Sal” (Toomey) Moir, 84, of Upton, died Monday, July 21, 2008 in Beaumont Skilled Nursing Center in Northbridge after a period of declining health. She was the beloved wife of George A. Moir, to whom she was married for 56 years.
Mrs. Moir was born in Worcester, the daughter of the late Kenneth D. and Mary A. (Crane) Toomey, and was a graduate of Commerce High School. She had lived in Upton for 50 years. A devout Catholic, she was a daily communicant of Holy Angels Parish, a former member of the parish Altar Sodality and CCD instructor, and a member of a secular Carmelite Order (OCDS).
In addition to her husband, she leaves four children, Elise M. Elbrecht and her husband Martin of Lake Peekskill, NY, Allan K. Moir and his wife Donna of Kennebunkport, ME, G.
