Elfriede Elwiene (Raudsep) Bahr, 95, of Middletown, CT, wife of the late Fritz W. Bahr, passed away on Wednesday, June 3rd at St. Teresa’s Nursing Home in Middletown, NY. Born in Tallinn, Estonia, she was the daughter of the late Ernst and Julie (Kolberg) Raudsep. Elfriede graduated from college with a degree in fine arts and was employed as a textile designer until World War II. Her family immigrated to the United States in July of 1956 and settled in Middletown, CT. Elfriede was a member of the Middletown Artist Association, exhibiting many of her works for which she won awards. When not busy being a fulltime Mom, Elfriede was always embroidering, knitting, or sewing.
