Eleanore Mollie Palewski, 90, of Three Oaks, Michigan and formerly of Chicago, died Monday morning, April 16, 2007.Mrs. Palewski was born February 23, 1917 in Chicago to Julius and Anna (Orseske) Schmude. On May 7, 1938, she married Sigmund Palewski in Chicago. The Palewski’s owned Sid’s Grocery and Meat Market for over 27 years. Mrs. Palewski served as secretary for St. Camillus Golden Agers and was an avid Bingo player.
She was a devout woman who loved receiving Holy Communion, attended Mass daily, and recited the Rosary several times a day.Survivors include her children, Marcianne “Marcy” (Robert) Dresden of Three Oaks and James (Susan) Palewski of Lockport, Illinois; 4 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren and her sister Florence Creed of Alsip, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her husband on December 25, 1987; and by one great grandchild; her sister, Irene Doornbos and brother, Raymond Schmude.Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am EDT on Friday at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Three Oaks with Father Donald Suberlak, C.R. as celebrant. A luncheon will follow at the church hall. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery, Justice, Illinois at 1:30 CDT Friday.
