Eleanore “Ellie” Takacs, 85, of Salisbury Twp., died Saturday, December 20, 2014 at St. Luke’s Hospital, Fountain Hill. She was the wife of the late Louis “Mince” Takacs, who died Feb. 9, 2005. Born in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late George and Elizabeth (Shisko) Hudock. Ellie worked as a secretary for Matte Dress, and Marvel Maid companies for many years until retiring. She was an active member of St. Ursula’s Catholic Church, where she served in the choir, the woman’s guild, and the golden hillers. She also was a member of the River Road Fire Co, where she served as secretary, and was in the ladies auxiliary. Besides spending time with her family, Ellie enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Survivors: sons Dennis Takacs and wife Carol, John Takacs and wife Donna, and Robert Takacs and wife Cindy all of Salisbury Twp; grandchildren Audrey, James, and Dennis, Jr. and great grandchildren Leighna and Gavin; sister Margaret Kulanko and husband Andrew of Baltimore, Md. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her infant son Glenn David, and brother Edward Hudock.
