Eleanor M. (Fenner) McDonnell, 85 of Upton, died peacefully Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at Sunbridge Care Center in Milford, following a long illness. She was the wife for 55 years of the late Paul “Slim” McDonnell who died in 1998.
Born in Milford, a daughter of the late Raymond A. and Mabel (Ferguson) Fenner, she was raised and educated in Upton, and was a graduate of Upton High School.

Her hobbies and interests included family, reading, crossword puzzles, and word games.
She is survived by 2 sons, John and George McDonnell of Upton; a brother Raymond Fenner of Harelton, Texas; 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Dorothy Bishop and Arlene Lindell.
