Eleanor L. “Lucy” Coppess, 86, of Anderson, passed away on June 22, 2015, at the Community Northview Care Center, Anderson, IN. She was born on September 19, 1928, in Cleveland, Ohio, and resided most of her life in Anderson. Eleanor graduated from St. Joseph Academy in Cleveland, OH.
She retired from Guide Lamp in 1977 after 28 years of service. She loved to crochet, watch hummingbirds, go out to eat, and play Bingo. Eleanor is survived by her children, Frederick (Sandi) Coppess, Terese “Terri” Combs, and Kathleen Coppess, grandchildren, Michelle (Tom) Coppess-Bell, Aimee (Scott) Zabinsky, Steven Coppess, James (Angel) Combs and Brian (Erica) Combs, 14 great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter, Bri’Lynn, and special friends, the Palmer’s.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Mraz, mother, Mary (Horvath) Drucis, husband of 55 years, Claude “Buck” Coppess, granddaughter, Christina (Mike) Priddy, and brother, James Mraz.
