Eleanor J. Nimtz, 88, of Three Oaks, Michigan died at her home surrounded by her family Thursday morning, September 9, 2010. Eleanor was born October 30, 1921, daughter of Raymond and Emma (Lowe) Gluth. She graduated as Salutatorian of New Buffalo High School Class of 1942.

On December 20, 1942 she was united in marriage to her sweetheart, Frederick G. “Bud” Nimtz, at St. John United Church of Christ in Three Oaks. Bud preceded her in death on August 24, 2000. Eleanor was a member of the St. John Congregation in Three Oaks where she was a choir member and active in the Ladies Guild, having served as President. She loved the outdoors, tending her flower gardens, and watching the birds. Eleanor enjoyed crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, and traveling.

Survivors include her daughters, Sandra Stick of New Buffalo, Michigan and Diane Kerns of Paw Paw, Michigan, grandchildren, Tammy (Peter) Hauch; Michael (Jennifer) Kerns and Matthew (Christina Wolf) Kerns; great grandchildren, Laura and Robert Hauch; Kaden and Alex Kerns and her sister, Dorothy Price, Buchanan, Michigan.
