Eleanor Irene Piepho, 85, died Tuesday March 15, 2022 from complications of a broken pelvis.   She was born May 20, 1936 to Lloyd and Mabel Graham in Sargent, NE.  She was an only child.  

 

She moved with her parents as a young child to Ovid, CO where she graduated from high school.  She met her husband Lloyd C. Piepho and married after high school.   They had 2 children, Julie and John.  

 

She was assistant cashier of Bank of Keystone until Lloyd’s death in 1990.  She belonged to many organizations:  Ladies Aid, Red Hat Society, Library Club, Key Club and most importantly to her she was a member of the Ogallala Benevolent, Patriotic Order of DOES.   She was very proud of her local and national appointments and never missed an annual convention during the time Ogallala had a DOES Drove.  

 

She was a member of New Hope Church in Ogallala.  

 

She is survived by her daughter Julie Piepho (David Bee) of Fort Collins, CO, son John (Kim) Piepho of Ogallala, NE, granddaughter Meghan (Tyler) Griffin of Omaha, NE, grandson JC (Megan) Piepho of Lewellen, NE and 2 great granddaughters, Belle and Jem Griffin of Omaha,NE.
