Eleanor Holmes Armstrong, 93 of Dadeville, AL, formerly of Jacksonville, IL and Punta Gorda, FL, died Tuesday, March 7, 2017 in Alexander City, AL.
She was born May 17, 1924 in Stoughton, MA, the daughter of Ralph M. and Julia Lannen Holmes. She married Thomas Hyland Armstrong on Aug 5, 1944 in Massachusetts and he preceded her in death on October 12, 2005.
She is survived by three daughters, Meredith (husband, Fred) Stahl of San Raphael, CA, Jeanne (husband, Gunther) Eichler of Johns Creek, GA and Christine (husband, Robert Eb) Spink of Dadeville, AL; six grandchildren, Tor Stahl, Eric Stahl, Lisa Jones, Eric Eichler, Barbara Gress and Emily Sprayberry; and ten great-grandchildren.
Eleanor and Tom enjoyed a full life, building businesses together, traveling, and giving joy to her family and friends.
