Eleanor Doris Landwehr, 86, of West Redding, died on Sunday morning at her home after a long battle with Parkinsons Disease. Eleanor was the wife of Carl A. Landwehr. Carl and Eleanor were married in 1948, living first in Pennsylvania and then in the Bronx, NY but spent weekends at their home in West Redding, CT before moving there in 1961. Carl and Eleanor celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary in May of 1998. Ellie was born on April 26, 1927 in Nazareth, PA, the daughter of Fred and Anna (Correll) Borger. She was a graduate of Nazareth High School in Nazareth, PA. Ellie was a cook and cafeteria supervisor within the Redding school system for over twenty five years and worked part-time for Loree’s kitchen in Bethel.
