ELDRIDGE, Elaine M. Kalamazoo Died November 28, 2013 at age 83. Elaine was born May 9, 1930 in Carney, MI to the late Irvin and Ella Augustine Wauters. She was united in marriage to Lennox J. Eldridge on February 27, 1954, who preceded her in death in April of 1989. Elaine loved her family and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She had been an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church for many years. She was proud of growing up on a farm, attending a one room schoolhouse and would share many stories about her and her sister growing up. Prior to raising her family, she worked for Dr. Walsh in Escanaba and a law office in Kalamazoo. Elaine is survived by her children, Lisa Donald Bird, Barbara David Jackson both of Kalamazoo, John Ailene Hagee Eldridge of Sallisaw, OK and Paula Eldridge of Kalamazoo; grandchildren, Christina James Bogen, Ashley Aaron Merrill, Daniel Bird, Brittany Eldridge, Mark Bird, Ken Bird, twins Robert and Patrick Jackson, Courtney Eldridge and John Eldridge, Jr.; several great grandchildren; sister, Mildred LeMoyne; and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, David Jackson II.
