Elaine L. Miller, 81, of Mishawaka, IN (formerly of South Bend) passed away at 7:22 p.m. Friday, May 30, 2014 in her home, following a lengthy illness.
She was born on October 26, 1932 to the late Alexander and Regina (Sikorski) Nowacki in South Bend, IN, and was a lifelong area resident. Along with her parents; she was preceded in death by a sister, Joan Kaniewski.
On April 19, 1952, as Elaine L. Nowacki, she married Forrest C. Miller. He died on April 30, 2005.
Elaine is survived by her three sons, Chad (Donna) Miller of Granger, IN; Douglas (Steffany) Miller of Mishawaka, IN; Bruce (Chris) Miller of Granger, IN; 12 grandchildren, Jessica, Austin, Danny, John, Cherie, Jodie, Aaron, Gabriel, Grace, Alison, Nicole, Colette; 14 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Barbara Gabey of South Bend, IN.
Mrs. Miller was an avid volunteer with The Christ Child Society and Holy Cross Church. Elaine enjoyed playing cards with her friends, and loved attending sporting events of her children and grandchildren.
