Elaine passed away peacefully on Monday, July 4, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. She was 92 years of age. Elaine was born on March 18, 1930 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late James and Mildred (Thornton) Crandall. Elaine Married the love of her life, Donald R. Manning Sr. On November 27, 1948. They were happily married for 64 years.
Don and Elaine were blessed to have nine children, Connie (Kim) Clark, Kay (Kevin Mallon) Ferguson, Susan (Tom) Gehrls, Donald Jr. (Cathy) Manning, Mary Jo (Patrick) McKenna, Daniel (Lori) Manning, Patricia (Jesus) Manning-Perez, James (Maureen) Manning and John Patrick Manning; Don and Elaine were also blessed to have twenty grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Elaine dedicated her life to her family, enjoying her time with her grandchildren, was a diehard Detroit Tiger fan and was very proud of sharing her Tiger room filled with an extensive Collection of Tiger memorabilia. She was also an avid collector of light houses, Thomas Kinkade and jigsaw puzzles. She was a competitive Euchre player and had a passion for winning.
